Rachel Schroers

Sydney, NSW, AustraliaRachel studied saxophone from age 7, and in Year 10, was inspired by her high school music teacher (who also introduced her to Orff), to pursue her passion of teaching. After graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium with Honours in Music Education in 2013, she began teaching Music in a range of primary and secondary schools and in 2017, she received her Masters of Special and Inclusive Education.
Rachel completed Level 4 of her Orff-Schulwerk training in 2014 and enjoys the challenge of finding repertoire to teach to high school students to help them embody music through the Orff approach. She has presented twice before in Sydney.
Rachel is currently at Sydney Montessori School, teaching Years 1- 9 and is looking forward to taking the school’s first senior classes through the International Baccalaureate diploma in a few years.
On her days off, she enjoys spending time in nature with her husband and their young son, and watching him explore the world and music with much enthusiasm and gusto!
